UNDER 18?
WASH your hands every single time you are going to touch or clean your piercing.
WASH your piercing with anti-bacterial soap no more than twice each day. While showering, lather up a pearl sized drop of unscented antibacterial soap to clean the jewelry and piercing. Leave the soap on the piercing for no more than 30 seconds.
RINSE thoroughly to remove all traces of soap.
CLEAN your piercing with a mixture of dissolved non-iodized (1/8-1/4 teaspoon/8oz of water) using a q-tip, cotton ball, or small cup/shot-glass to soak your piercing 2-3 times each day. The longer it soaks the better. DO NOT add extra salt as it will cause your piercing to dry out excessively.

For Oral Piercings
(tongue/lip/cheek)
Swelling is normal for the first 72 hours.
Drink plenty of cold liquids (preferably water - definitely nothing fermented) and gently suck on ice to help minimize swelling. Use ice 30 minutes on, 30 minutes off to help keep maximum blood flow.
Don’t share cups, plates or utensils while the piercing is healing.
Replace your toothbrush and keep it clean during the healing period.
Keep anything dirty out of your mouth (fingers, pencils, sunglasses, etc)
Avoid excessive talking, playing with the jewelry and all oral sexual contact (including kissing) during the healing time.
Remember to daily check that the threaded ends of the jewelry are tight to ensure the jewelry stays in place.
